Realtor Appreciation Events

andrew.bash • May 09, 2017

At Trinity Homes, we host realtor appreciation events at our model homes, to showcase our family-friendly semi-custom homes. These events allow realtors to check out our final product, network and mingle with peers in the industry, learn more about Trinity Homes and our communities, and enjoy a delicious free lunch with a few fun giveaways.

Our most recent event was a Cinco de Mayo celebration at Cheshire Woods with food from Yabo’s Tacos. Cheshire Woods is a beautiful neighborhood that feels like a retreat, with plenty of trees, walking trails, and scenic wooded areas. Located in the prestigious Olentangy and Big Walnut school systems, Cheshire Woods is close to Alum Creek State Park, Polaris Fashion Place, as well as the historic village of Sunbury with easy access to I-71.

When searching for your dream home, many prospective homeowners are drawn to the idea of building from scratch. However, there's an often-overlooked gem in the housing market: inventory homes . Choosing an inventory home over starting from the ground up offers many perks, especially when it comes to making it your own. With the right vision and creativity, you can turn an inventory home into your dream space, tailored perfectly to your tastes and lifestyle. What’s more, unlike the lengthy timelines and unexpected delays often associated with new construction, our inventory homes are already in the process of construction or even ready to move into. With a solid foundation in place, you can jump right into personalizing your space without the hassle of construction headaches. Not sure where to begin? Here are some ideas to infuse your personality into your inventory home: Give It a Fresh Paint Job Paint has the power to completely transform a space. Consider adding accent walls, painting kitchen cabinets, or even adding a pop of color to your front door to make your home uniquely yours. Add Wallpaper Similar to paint, wallpaper can elevate the ambiance of a room, creating a sense of spaciousness and airiness. With peel-and-stick options readily available, it's easier than ever to express your style without the need for professional installation. Swap Out Light Fixtures Lighting plays a crucial role in setting the mood of a room. Enhance the personality of your space by swapping out light fixtures or adding new ones to areas lacking illumination. Change Your Kitchen Hardware Upgrade your kitchen's aesthetic by replacing faucets and cabinet hardware. Choose from sleek modern designs or rustic farmhouse-inspired styles to complement your personal taste. Stain Your Floors Refresh the look of your home by staining your floors. Whether refinishing existing hardwood or opting for a new stain color, this simple upgrade can add warmth and character to any room. At Trinity Homes, we offer a range of inventory homes across Central Ohio, each at different stages of construction. With move-in-ready options and countless customization options , turning an inventory home into your dream space is within reach with Trinity. View our available inventory homes today!

Home design trends are constantly evolving, with some styles becoming timeless classics while others becoming obsolete. From the mid-century modern style of the 1960s to the more sleek and minimalistic designs of the 21st century, different styles, materials, and technologies used throughout history have shaped the way we live in our homes today. Let’s take a closer look at how home design trends have changed over the past six decades. 1960s During the 1960s, home design reflected the spirit of rebellion and experimentation of the era. Open floor plans, mid-century modern style, and geometric shapes became popular. A surge in architectural creativity led to the popularity of split-level and ranch-style homes, while colorful shag carpets and vibrant wallpaper covered interior spaces. 1970s In the 1970s, home design embraced a laid-back and eclectic vibe. Interiors featured earthy tones, natural materials, and the rise of iconic elements like sunken living rooms, exposed brick, and wood paneling. Avocado green and harvest gold were the go-to colors, while exteriors saw the rising popularity of A-frame houses. 1980s The 1980s were all about glam and excess in home design – think mirrored walls, brass fixtures, and high-gloss finishes. It was the era of big, bold statements, where postmodern architecture embraced eccentric shapes and opulent details. From glass-block walls to flashy entranceways, homes reflected the decade's love for luxury. 1990s Completely opposite to the 80s, home design in the 90s took a more casual and comfortable approach. Minimalism gained popularity, featuring clean lines, uncluttered spaces, and a neutral color palette. Open concept living became a prominent trend, with beige and muted tones dominating interiors, complemented by natural materials like wood and stone. Additionally, home offices became more common as people embraced the convenience of personal computers and the need for functional workspaces. 2000s The early 2000s saw a return to minimalism and the rise of smart home technology. Stainless steel appliances and granite countertops became kitchen staples, and smart home technology integration started making waves, with home automation systems becoming more accessible. Architecturally, modern and contemporary designs with large windows and open spaces gained popularity. 2010s The 2010s brought green living to the forefront, with recycled materials and energy-efficient homes. While open concept living continued to dominate, the farmhouse aesthetic also gained popularity, marked by shiplap walls and rustic elements. 2020s As we step into the 2020s, home design trends are marked by a fusion of styles and an emphasis on individual expression. Modern homes incorporate elements from various decades, creating a personalized and eclectic look. Sustainability also remains a key focus, with a surge in interest in passive home design and renewable energy sources. At Trinity Homes , we understand that everyone has unique tastes and preferences when it comes to home design. That's why we offer endless possibilities in terms of designing your home, enabling you to create a living space that perfectly aligns with your personality and lifestyle. Whether you're looking for a charming, cottage aesthetic or an open-concept, high-tech home, we have the expertise and resources to make your dream home a reality.

January is Bath Safety Month , which means it’s a perfect time to take a closer look at the hidden dangers lurking in your bathroom and ensure that it is a safe and secure environment for you and your family. Here are some helpful tips to implement that can keep your bathroom safer: Keep it Well-Lit Installing automated or motion sensor lighting can be a fantastic way to prevent accidents in the bathroom. It ensures that the bathroom is always well lit, which is especially helpful when you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Similarly, if you have elderly or disabled family members, automatic lighting can help them navigate the bathroom more safely. Test the Water Temperature Water that is too hot can scald your skin, making it crucial to set your water heater to a reasonable temperature. We recommend keeping it around 120°F to reduce the chance of injury, and using a thermometer or testing the water with your elbow or wrist to ensure that the temperature is right. Child-Proof the Room There are several hazardous items in the bathroom, from razors to cleaning supplies to medicines, that can be dangerous to small children. To keep them safe and prevent accidental poisonings or injuries, store medicine and toiletries in a higher, out-of-reach space or a locked cabinet or drawer. Using child-resistant caps can also make it more difficult for children to get their hands on them. On the contrary, the elderly should keep medicines and other commonly used items within arm's reach to prevent falls. Embrace Slip Mats Wet bathroom surfaces do not discriminate. Every year, people of all ages fall victim (literally) to the slippery and hard surfaces in their bathroom. To prevent accidents and injuries, you should add slip-resistant mats or decals to your bathtub, shower, and bathroom floor. This is especially important for older adults, young children, and pregnant women. If you have a tub, look for a mat that suctions to the bottom of the tub and ensures that whatever mat you step out of the tub onto is securely in place. Preventative measures can help ensure that your bathroom is a safe and accident-free environment for you and your family – so be sure to take the necessary steps to make it safe and enjoyable for all! Our goal at Trinity Homes is to build a home that fits your family’s needs. That's why we offer the flexibility to customize floor plans , allowing you to update bathroom designs to accommodate specific family member requirements and even adjust the orientation of rooms in the house.

Justin Shear , Vice President of Trinity Homes, talks about the challenges encountered and successes achieved throughout 2023 and shares his insight into what he sees happening in 2024 and the years ahead for Trinity Homes . Reflecting on 2023, what have been the biggest challenges and accomplishments for Trinity Homes? The biggest challenge was managing an extraordinary number of homes with almost all of them being individually customized. As the national builders infiltrate Columbus they aim to simplify and limit choices, but we have elected to remain different. Fortunately for us, we have found that there are a tremendous number of people who value our customization and wide-ranging option choices. Our business model has led to 2023 being one of our busiest years on record. What are you most proud of on behalf of Trinity Homes? I am most proud that we have remained true to our business model even in difficult times. We have had overwhelming pressure to change and make our homes more like what the national builders offer. We know it is much easier and frankly more profitable to not offer our clients so many choices and customization options. I’m proud that we are stubbornly different and know our customers appreciate it. What do you see happening in the Central Ohio housing market this coming year? As jobs continue to flood Central Ohio and with the Federal Reserve expecting as many as six rate cuts in 2024, I believe building permits will increase as much as 20%. Existing inventory will follow suit, but the increased demand will likely keep prices heading upward. What is your message to the Trinity Homes team as you head into the new year? Learn lessons from the past three years as it has been both challenging and rewarding. What are you most excited about for Trinity Homes as you look to 2024? Releasing new communities and sections all over Central Ohio! We have land that people are already lining up to build on which is very exciting! What goals do you have for Trinity Homes over the next decade? Stay on the path of being different and unique. There will always be customers who need what we offer, we cannot lose sight of that.
