Why Gigi’s Holds a Special Place in Our Hearts

Trinity Homes specializes in building custom homes for Central Ohio families, but our team also has a soft spot for dogs in need of new, loving homes. Made possible by the generous support of Trinity Homes founder, George Skestos and his wife, Tina, Gigi’s was created to address common challenges animals face, namely dogs that become sick or suffer during the time they spend in a rural animal shelter.

A first-class, state-of-the-art, 26,000 square-foot facility equipped to impact over 6,000 rural shelter dogs per year, Gigi’s heals and saves homeless dogs to get them adopted faster. Gigi’s is a first-of-its-kind, nonprofit that provides dogs from rural shelters access to high-quality shelter, veterinary, behavior, and adoption services to get them into permanent homes.

While it was supported by George and Tina Skestos, Gigi’s has become a passion project of the entire Trinity Homes organization. Jim Phieffer, Trinity Homes CEO, have put hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into fixing up under-funded facilities in rural Ohio.

Vice President of Sales, Justin Shear, says, “As a local home builder, we will continue to build high-quality custom homes while also focusing on our efforts with Gigi’s to save as many shelter dogs as we can.” Most recently, the team volunteered at Gigi's Spring Volunteer Clean-Up D ay.

Trinity Homes is committed to continuing to give back to the community, with Justin noting, “Our values are larger than dollars and cents, it is about making a real difference.” Once again this year, Trinity Homes is supporting Gigi's Drive for Dogs, presented by Jeff Wyler Columbus. The 2nd annual golf outing offers an opportunity to raise money to save dogs by helping homeless dogs get healthy and adoption ready.

Gigi’s Drive for Dogs will take place June 24th, at Cumberland Trail Golf Club in Pataskala, with a shotgun start beginning at 1:00 PM. While registrations for golf are sold out, we invite friends of Trinity Homes to make a donation to the event or become an event sponsor. Thanks for loving dogs, right along with us!
